Not long after Patrick and Lisa were married in 2021, Lisa found out she was pregnant. She had a fairly easy time with the pregnancy, until COVID hit seriously in Uganda and the country went on lockdown for the second time. During that time many people were sick and dying, and Lisa (and the twins) contracted COVID at that time. Thankfully she recovered quickly and had no issue with the pregnancy. While still in the hospital, after Micah was born, Lisa found out she had malaria. It turned out she had likely. had malaria for over a month without realizing it, assuming her symptoms were from her last month of pregnancy in a hot city (tired and napping daily, hot, uncomfortable, etc.). Thankfully Micah was fine when he was born, and had not contracted malaria from Lisa, but it made the first week of his life extra complicated as Lisa recovered. Recovery involved a few days of going to a nearby hospital every four hours for injections amidst trying to feed the baby, rest, juggle visitors, and more. Patrick and Lisa’s mom were a huge help in that crazy time. Micah’s big brothers were so excited to meet him and became a huge help in daily activities around the house.

Micah loves his family, school, sports, doing art projects with mom, making up creative games with his toys, reading books, and so much more. He is quite creative and loves having time with his friends.
